Oskar's Blog... April

1st April
Friday today and I have to say that thank god, what a week it’s been, about time that the weekend showed its face. Slept well today along with feeding and playing in my gym. I had a really good time, went out in the car again, and I again fell asleep straight away, not sure if I’m not getting drugged. I must keep an eye out. My name was registered today Oskar Philip Wood, sounds nice, I think I’ll keep it.

2nd April
Went to Uncle Paul’s Birthday Party today, where I met Jake and Daniel. Jake is just over a year older than me and is HUGE… I wonder if I’ll be that big someday. Smelt loads of new things, Daddy said it was a Bar-B-Q, Mummy said it was burnt food. I think I believe Mummy on this one. Had a good time, as I got to sleep and also got some presents, which lets face it, will always make a good day!

3rd April
Went and visited all the family today it was fun, but Mummy and Daddy wanted to leave early. Which I did not like at all. So tonight they are going to get a full on moan and I’ll make sure they’ll be up for most of the night. That will teach them to go around leaving early.

4th April
Weigh-in day today. The Health visitor I think is a bit sadistic, she keeps weighing me on a cold scales, typical. Although the good news is that once again I’ve put on weight. I’m now at 6Lbs, 10ozs.

5th April
I got taken shopping today and my god it was boring, decided to sleep though it, to get it over and done with. When I woke up Mormor was there which was nice. I then fancied some food so I got passed to Mummy. When I was finished Mormor was gone, so I got a hug from Daddy instead.

6th April
Had a good play in my gym, I’m going to have to ask Daddy about these funny coloured animals hanging off it. I’m only 15 days old and I’m pretty sure that elephants are not bright red, I’m sure that would be useless for hiding in cupboards or wherever they live. I met Auntie Mary and Nadia today at Grandma’s today, it was a cuddle-fest!

7th April
I started to notice something about the house today. There seems to be some strange furry things walking about at my eye level. Not sure what they are, I know they are not elephants as they are not bright red… they go meow a few times and then try to sit in my play gym, which Mummy and Daddy tells them off for. So at least they are not stealing my things yet.

8th April
Worked out what the furry things are, they are Tigers! What in gods name is Mummy and Daddy doing having them in the house? They keep sleeping in my play gym which is not good. Thankfully they are moved when it’s my turn to play in it. Not much happened today apart from seeing Grandma and Mormor, which is always nice.

9th April
I’ve worked out a new trick; if I wriggle about and grizzle for a while then I get held tight by Daddy which is so nice and warm. He’s so furry and squidgy I can fall asleep there any time I want now.

10th April
Gave Mummy and Daddy a hard night last night, I was up for ages, I was so tired, but I just could not get to sleep. It ended up with Daddy taking me for a drive again. I saw Auntie Zöe and Vicky, Grandma and Grandpa plus Tanta Kristin and Onkle John. Grandpa keeps singing at me, which sometimes is a bit weird. But it keeps him happy, Old Macdonald has a big farm that’s for sure.

11th April
Once again the sadistic health visitor turned up again today, however she has finally taken pity on me, and she put a blanket in the scales before putting me down, so it was nice and warm. I was 7Lbs, 5ozs. Today – bloody good work I think.

12th April
Went for a long drive today. We went to Reading, Staines and Bracknell, I’m a jet-setter now that’s for sure. We went to shop for nappies, food and Tanta Kristin’s Birthday present. Hope she likes it. Lots more food and sleep today, I think I’m going to have some more naps through the day from now on, as I don’t think I have a enough energy for my main sleep.

13th April
Tanta Kristin’s Birthday today, we saw her in the morning, I was a bit bored so had a nap. Mummy took me out today on her own, I hope she can drive, otherwise it will be interesting getting around! We went to a garden centre and also to Mormors for a cup of tea and I had some milk. Then we went to Grandma’s with Daddy to see his Aunt and Cousins. Grandpa didn’t get a chance to sing to me, which I sort of missed. I wont tell him though, in case he insists in singing every time I see him.

14th April
Had a good sleep last night and felt much better this morning. Mummy has started putting me in my new suits. Very snazzy! do i look smart or what... Think i may have another nap now. Daddy spent most of the day in another room to me, not sure why?

15th April
Daddy still in another room to me, not nice at all. I will speak to mummy to find out why. Another cool suit though, this time its blue. so i'm happy! We all went over to Grandma and Grandpa's tonight. Had a good sleep and Grandpa not only sung to me, but explained something about these things that go on the sea called tankers... not sure what the sea is, or what a tanker is when its at home.
